Outdoor Wednesday - 5/15 - Roses, pansies and birds!
Spring is definitely here and Outdoor Wednesday is the perfect showcase for it! Jump over to Susan's at A Southern Daydreamer for more outdoor adventures!
The weather has been pretty cool here but some lovely sunny days. Here's some pics of how the yard is progressing.
With the cooler weather, the pansies are still blooming. I just love their cheerful little faces.
The knock-out roses are starting to bloom. If you don't have knock-outs, I highly recommend them. They are disease resistant and bloom constantly!
The knock-out tree rose. I can't wait until it is in full bloom!
Even the magnolia "Little Gem" trees are loaded with blooms. I love the smell of a magnolia bloom...such a clean, crisp lemony smell.
The Stella daylilies are just loaded with buds. In a few weeks, they should be putting on quite a show.
My favorite for today? Remember the little bluebird next with the pretty blue eggs?
Well, they are hatching! Look at these little birdies singing for their supper!'
See the one little egg left - He's a late bloomer I guess!
So with all this blooming going on, Here's a closing thought for today -

Your flowers are gorgeous and those little birds are adorable, hope the little late bloomer catches up, Happy weekend, Kathy
I love spring and your garden and awakening with the season. sigh*. I love that you have so much room to plant such pretties. Our "lot" is a good sized considering where I live, but it's still to small to be able to plant a lush area. I do have some pretties though. Touches here and there.
Sweet little birds. We have a finch nest in our patio cover right now. She's got 4 eggs in there but they haven't hatched yet. She is quite the attentive momma bird and hardly leaves. I can't wait til the birdies arrive. Every year my hubby says he won't let them build a nest and every year I say "yes!". Of course, every year I win out. lol!
Enjoy your day!
Oh my goodness Judy, everything is just gorgeous. I absolutely love your front porch, it is just my favorite thing. I could sit out there all day and look at all the beautiful flowers blooming in your yard. The arbor is stunning also. Such fantastic curb appeal. Love it all. Hugs, Marty
The flowers look gorgeous! Your home is amazing! Love the porch! I can only dream, I live in a cookie cutter house.
You have a beautiful home I've really enjoyed your blog which I just happened to stumble upon I'm now a follower so I will be back often!!
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoy the fish tacos as much as we do. Your pansies are just gorgeous...haven't they been pretty this year. I hate to pull mine up to get ready for summer planting. Oh well. I love your knock-out roses. Mine are just now budding, and I am anxious to see how well they do this year. The bluebird pictures are precious. I think our houses are being ignored so far. Maybe soon. Come again.
What a great post! Your yard is absolutely gorgeous!! Love it all, I need to look for some of those knock-out roses. Wonder if they come in yellow??
Those little birdies are so sweet!
Katherine

You have one gorgeous yard, love all the flowers. The baby birds are so cute, I wonder how safe that open nest is from predators. I will be glad when my flowers show their heads, it is so cold here, it spit snow today.
