Well, I'm just such a happy camper today. When I tell you why...you may think it doesn't take much to make me ecstatic.
When we packed away Mother's things last Fall, my mental state wasn't the best. As a result, I couldn't remember where I had put things. As my Feb. birthday neared, I began wondering where my birthday angel could be.
That little angel has been in Mother's care since I was a little girl.
As you can see below, there she is at my 7th birthday. I hate to admit that was almost 50 years ago. Ouch!
Well, Mr. Dumpling and I were plundering in the attic yesterday and there she was! Oh the joy!
As you can see, she's had a rough time. Her little wing has been glued but that doesn't decrease the value to me in the least.
I love that my mother kept her all these years...that she put her on all my birthday cakes...and that she has been found.

Hi JudyBug! I am happy you found your angel! I have a pinecone ornament that was on my mothers tray in the hospital when I was born (one week before Christmas) and I put it out every year--I don't know what I would do if I lost it! It's getting shabby looking but I don't care (it's over 40 years old now!) Happy Birthday to you!
Hugs,
Sheri
She is so sweet. Being a fellow February birthday girl..I thought you would appreciate that I was 50 years old before I got a birthstone ring. I was thrilled and still am that I finally have it! Glad you found your b/d angel.
This coming May it will be two years since my own mother passed away and she too kept things for years that I made or had given her. I posted A Sampler of Love on my blog, if you care to have a look. These treasures that we hold dear, from years gone by, truly are a gift.
Oh Judy Bug...How sweet that your mom kept her all these years and how wonderful that you found her!! It's the little things that have all of the meaning attached to them, isn't it? hugs...Debbie
