Tablescape Thursday - 4/2 - A cozy breakfast tray

Welcome to my Tablescape Thursday post. To see more dishes and pretties than you can shake a stick at, hop over to Susan's at Between Naps on the Front Porch. You're in for a treat!

It seems we have all gone Spring crazy and I'm right that with you. We had sunshine today. It was a glorious day. Personally, I love mornings...calm mornings.

Mr. Dumpling, are you reading this? Mr. Dumpling like to chat in the mornings, share what he reads on Yahoo, plans for the day, etc.

Me? Not so much. I want to
drink my coffee, walk out on the porch, drink my coffee and maybe watch The West Wing or NCIS I taped while I drink more coffee. Boo snuggles in the chair with me and he's not too chatty in the a.m. either.

Anyway, when I was thinking about Tablescape Thursday, I thought about morning. Wouldn't it be nice to wake up to a lovely little breakfast tray?

Let's play a little and we'll pull out a variety of dishes. I love doing that!

I found this little yellow wooden tray at a Garage Sale. Mother gave me the placemats years ago. Breakfast was sort of thrown together today. We've having croissants, cheese, blackberries, a hard boiled egg, orange juice and coffee.

Here's how I put it together. Using the tray and placemat, I'll add one of my favorite plates that goes with almost everything. It's by Noritake and called Reverie. I've had it since 1977. I was a child. (haha).

I love the designs on it...butterflies, lady bugs and my favorite colors of yellow, pink and green.

On top of that, I'll put my Hobby Lobby bunny plates from several years ago. Aren't they sweet with the open work around the edges?

I love mixing my green Depression glass with the Reverie. Today, I've used my green Depression Fruits tumbler and sherbet.

I love the fruit pattern etched on the glass. The sherbet has the cherries. Some have a pear, etc.

To keep the Spring look, I used my mother of pearl silverware. I just love it. It needs cleaned but I'm sure you're too kind to mention it.

The sweet little chick egg cup is holding our speckled hard boiled egg.

Now just for fun, I'm going to make a few changes. I told you I loved playing with dishes and getting different looks with just a few tweaks.

I'm using my silver bunny tray now as a plate. Isn't he cute? I wish I had more of these.

I added a cute little green bunny. He's the softest green and he's new from HL (1/2 price of course!).

I'll see you tomorrow for Friday Show and Tell!

You girls and these tablescapes put me to shame as I eat a Taco Bell soft chicken taco right out of the take-home bag. You truly do.

I love the china! :) I keep saying that we really need to use ours more, but it keeps staying in the hutch. :( Somehow, I don't think the Little Debbie Devil Squares that I had for breakfast this morning would look quite as nice, even if I arranged them on the Reverie plate! :) Thanks for sharing all your cute ideas! I especially like the little egg holder...adorable!

SUCH a cute breakfast tray. I might even break my rule about no-food-in-the-bedroom for that tray.

I love the bunny plate, but the silver bunny plate ... hmm, can't decide which I like better.

I've never seen that Noritake; it's so graceful and charming. Just lovely!
