Show and Tell - 3/20 - Venetian mirrors
Today is Friday and that means good times over at Kelli's place! Be sure to check out There is No Place Like Home for things that will amaze you!
I was going to do Spring things today. I even have some "treasures" that I unpacked this week that belonged to Mother. However, I'm going another direction.
Let's take a walk down the hall to the Master Bedroom and I'll tell you a story. No, it's not an XXX rated story...Shame on you for even thinking that! This is a shopping story!
Before we finished building the house in 2006, I bought a lovely heart shaped Venetian mirror on eBay. Once we moved in, I couldn't find the right place for it. It went to the attic temporarily.
Well, temporarily turned into almost 3 years later. I had forgotten about it! Well, forward to this Feb. I was wanting something to go on each side of the bed and I remembered the mirror!
So, I went back to eBay and lo and behold, I found one ALMOST identical. The etching is slightly different but the shape is the same.
AND as I pondered it, the seller marked it down $20.00. Well, I took that as a sign and voila!
Master sitting area. I love to snuggle up in this chair and read.
What's on your bedside table? I have to read before I go to sleep and here's a few things I look at:
My side:
Devotional:
Gardening:
Christian fiction:
Recipes:
Mr. Dumpling's side:
You know how Boo loves having his pic made! Well, he was right with me...as always!
We've been married 33 years and can still say this!
Come back tomorrow for some PINKNESS!

Oh what a lucky find! And aren't they beautiful!
I love Boo! I have a Bichon also, named Sherman. He's pictured in a pile of fluff on my blog. The blogpost is Ranch Security.
I love your Venetian mirrors...and you found the perfect place for them! Your bedroom looks like a peaceful retreat! Very pretty!
We've been married 33 years, too, and are still living "happily ever after" and "madly in love"!
Happy spring!
;-D
I love those mirrors!!! Your bedroom is absolutely to die for! How funny your side of the bed is full of books like mine while my hubby's is like yours, just a Bible!!! Enjoyed your pictures!
Oh I love the sign above your bed as well. I have sign above ours also...All Because Two People Fell in Love. I love both!!
Love you venetial mirrors and loved the tour of your room...beautiful!
You found a most perfect place for it...it just adorns the whole room.
My Show n Tell is all about afghans today. If you can get a chance, do stop by. Happy Friday.

Oh I love your mirrors and how lucky you were to find the second one. Actually I love your entire bedroom. Your dog is just precious!! Your bedside table contains almost the exact same things as mine. One extra thing that I have is a notepad and pen...I am always coming up with great ideas, but then I forget them. The pad and pen come in handy at that point!:) Have a great day!
What a gorgeous bedroom you have! I love the mirrors, they're beautiful!
What gorgeous mirrors and a lovely master suite you've decorated! Your sitting chair looks so warm and cozy. Your little doggie is adorable...how precious! 33 years is a definite celebration! Happy 33! ;) ~CC Catherine
Love the mirrors! I remember my grandparents reading 'Daily Bread'. I have 'Daily Word'. My bedside chest is not nearly as neat as yours. :) Thanks for the inspiration.
You have a perfect bedroom. I like your choice of reading material. Here's my post:

Hello Judy...
Just wanted to stop by and say thank you for visiting my Spring & Green tablescape...thank you for all of your sweet comments!
First of all, I can tell by your header that you love red transferware...I'm a collector of that as well! Hehe! My heart just went a "pitter-patter" when your photo first came up!
I love your story about forgetting that you had the venetian mirror...sounds so much like me! Hehe! I actually make a trip up to my storage room to check out all that's in there for the very same reason! When I say I go shopping around my house...I really do!
Your venetian mirrors are fabulous and they look beautiful above your bedside tables! What a lovely bedroom you have...it's so nice and spacious...and a fireplace!!! You have some really beautiful furniture pieces. Love your bedding! Just have to say that I love that beautiful floral wreath on your honey's side...where did you find that?
Well my friend, it's been a real joy to visit your beautiful home! I added you to my list of "blog follows" and look forward to getting to know you!
So very nice to meet you...
Warmest wishes,
Chari
PS...I left a comment on your tablescape post.
Your mirrors are lovely as is the room. When my husband and I were having this house built...on the studs I wrote our names...happily ever after! I don't have it on a plaque, but it is forever written behind our headboard!
Oh JudyBug you are too funny questioning the legality of selling the dishes...you notice it didn't say NANCY's dishes. LOL I really love your mirrors and have a bad case of DISH envy looking at your brown ones. Plus I'm a sucker for polka dots! Have a great day. xoxo Nancy
I am so glad you are living "happily ever after". Made my day!
The mirrors are just lovely and elegant by your bed.
The pup is as cute as a button.
Your bedroom is beautiful! I love the sign over your bed and the mirrors! That is so wonderful that you have been married 33 years! Thanks for sharing with us! Elena

Your bedroom is just stunning!! I love the mirror and I also love the cute little dog. Cindy
I guess the mirror sat in your attic waiting for his perfect partner to come along too. Your bedroom is gorgeous, love your headboard and little Boo is adorable. Happy spring, happy weekend and Happy ever after, hugs, Kathy.
What a stroke of luck to find another one of those fabulous mirrors at such a great price. They look beautiful over your night tables. How wonderful that you are living happily ever after with your mate of 33 years. My husband and I just celebrated our 36th on St. Patty's Day.
How neat to find 2 mirrors the same after all that time, love your bedroom ohhh to have room to have a sitting area
Helen
Wow Judy Bug!! That other mirror really had your name on it!! Your bedroom is so pretty! I would love sitting in that cozy chair, too...with a fire in the fireplace and a cup of coffee!...hugs...Debbie
That was a great find. The mirrors are so pretty!
The mirrors are beautiful...what great finds! Your dog is so cute! Your bedroom is lovely.
Your first Venetian mirror is such a lovely treasure and how nice that you found another. There is really a blessing. They are just beautiful in the room. Looks lovely. Hugs, Marty
I love anything "hearts" and could just steal those mirrors Judy!! But I got over it and just enjoyed the view of your master suite. You know already, I live in a wee little house, with wee little rooms, but I do manage to cram everything possible in them!! So, I love to see a tidy night stand with what "other people" keep on them and this just fit the bill! I'm a little more cluttered, but that is my state of mind I guess!
Just love coming to you. Always fun!!
xoxo
Janie
Your bedroom is just beautiful! And your mirrors have found the perfect place!
I love the sitting area in the room-so comfy- I don't think I'd ever leave the bedroom if it were mine--the fireplace...perfect!:)
Have a great weekend~
