Outdoor Wednesday 4/1 - I'm back!

It's Outdoor Wednesday and I'm expecting to see some wonderful posts today! Susan is our hostess over at A Southern Daydreamer. Be sure to check out the other participants.

First, let me say how much I missed blogging! I have been in a dark dismal prison for days on end. A nightmare. A hideous place.

Ok, I'm exaggerating but it WAS bad! We've had some terrible storms. Trees down across town and electricity out for a day. After the electricity came back, my Internet didn't! It's been almost a week. I tried to be brave but finally resorted to going to town and sitting in my car outside of wi-fi spots. I know. That's sad.

But the dark place is gone! The repairman came out today!

My azaleas are blooming and hanging in there even through the storms.

They are called Pride of Mobile. We searched high and low for these because they were supposed to be Watermelon Red. Ha ha! Have you ever seen such pink azaleas?

See the rain on the petals?

This is only their second year so I think they're coming along nicely.

Mr. Dumpling put up blue bird houses before the storm. One is still empty BUT one has eggs!

We got so excited...it doesn't take much here...when we saw a blue bird in it the first day! Yes, she was just waiting on us! After a couple of days, we peeked in...and there was an egg!

Mr. Dumpling said only look a few times a week. Well, I'm very curious by nature and yes, you guessed it. I've looked MANY times. We now have three eggs. I'll wait til "you know who" isn't looking and take a few more pics.

My Stella daylilies are coming up and looking great! This is their 3rd year and they put on quite a show last year. I can't wait. If you don't have any Stella's, I highly recommend them. They will start blooming in April and bloom here until October.

The Knock-out tree rose (by the arbor) is doing well also. It is loaded with buds. I love Spring - except for the storms.

See you tomorrow!

I am LOVING that you showed us your Bluebird eggs!!! I didn't realize they looked so similar to Robin eggs.

I think your azaleas look JUST like watermelon red.

Glad you're back! You folks with all the lovely azaleas, I'm jealous. I don't think our soil grows them well, there aren't many here, but 90 miles away in TYler, they are fantastic!

Just love the pink azaleas! The cute little blue egg is just precious too.

So glad your storms are behind you and your internet is fixed. There is nothing worse than that! I hate it when my computer is having problems, so I know how you must have felt a week without service. Amy :)
